As recentes pinturas de Mariana Palma, produzidas a partir do final de 2021, apontam para um novo percurso nas composições em tela da artista. Explorando as transparências das imagens retratadas, o fundo que antes era usado como base da composição, agora avança para entre e dentro do que é representado, permitindo um atravessamento de cores e composições. Deste modo, a artista confere às telas uma tridimensionalidade outra, possibilitando ao espectador uma fruição para além da obra em si e ao mesmo tempo que permite novos signos se revelarem e serem descobertos pelo olhar.

Mariana Palma's recent paintings, produced from late 2021, point to a new path in the artist's canvas compositions. Exploring the transparencies of the images portrayed, the background that used to be used as the basis of the composition now moves between and within what is represented, allowing a crossing of colors and compositions. In this way, the artist gives the canvases a different three-dimensionality, allowing the viewer a fruition beyond the work itself and at the same time allowing new signs to be revealed and discovered by the eye.
